This Tool Lets You Create An Investment Index In Seconds

Everyone’ s heard of do-it-yourself investing, but it seems artificial intelligence has now given rise to the age of do-it-yourself index making, too. In May, Public, an AI-powered long-term investing platform, announced the launch of a free tool that allows anyone to create their own investment index in a matter of seconds.

Generated Assets uses AI to take any idea, generate a list of holdings and backtest the index as far back as 10 years. It will even give the index a catchy name.
“ With a single prompt, investors can describe an idea, which the Generated Assets AI platform immediately turns into an index, benchmarked against the historical performance of the S & P 500,” the company said in a press release.“ At launch, investors can use Generated Assets to create, fine-tune, and track their index, with the ability to invest coming soon to the Public platform.”
As described by the company, the indexes that can be created by Generated Assets are limited only by one’ s imagination. and other publicly available information, to create a personalized index of underlying stocks that fit the criteria,” the company said.“ The index is back-tested against historical market returns, allowing investors to easily determine if the index would have performed well in the past. Users will be able to invest in the index on Public or share it via the Generated Assets leaderboard.”( The tool can be found at generatedassets. com.)“ Historically, the world of investing has been very binary split between self-directed and fully managed offerings. Do it yourself, or get someone else to do it. But with AI, there’ s a third path,” Jannick Malling, co-CEO and co-founder of Public, said in a prepared statement.“ With Generated Assets, investors can create an investable index with just a prompt. It is the first step towards a future where AI plays a bigger role in automating and managing your investing.”

Conservative manifesto Project 2025, a product of the Heritage Foundation think tank, has also called for Finra to be abolished and folded into the SEC. Finra defended its role as a regulator, which it said was rooted in its 85-year-old existence( the predecessor body was the National Association of Securities Dealers, which became Finra in 2007).
“ For 85 years, FINRA, the private, self-regulator of broker-dealers, has protected investors, promoted market confidence and safeguarded market integrity at zero cost to the American taxpayer,” said Rita De Ramos, a Finra spokeswoman.
The organization is a private corporation funded by member dues that acts as a self-regulatory body overseeing the securities industry, under the authority of the SEC.
